Manic Monday - Some very cool shots from Yoshi San
The Lake Rotorua tribs received a real bashing a few weeks back with a big, albeit quick, flood rinsing out the small streams and changing things up for anglers and fish alike. We probably don't credit the trout enough as being tough creatures but they seemed to bounce back very well and move straight back in to get on with the job of heading upstream for spawning. We've had a few reports coming in of excellent fishing in a slightly modified environment which is just simply the nature of rivers. Kiyoshi Nakagawa sent us a few great pics from his last couple of trips as proof that it's pretty much business as usual. End of June signals the close of most of these waters so don't muck around, just go and check it out for yourself.
