Matt and I are off fishing this weekend planning to hit a few small Waikato streams that are new to us. We figured the Scott G would be a great fly rod option with shorter casting and more delicate, technical presentations being the norm.
Plus having angry, fit 3pd Waikato fish on the end will no doubt be a lot of fun. I'll be armed with the 9ft 5wt while Matt is planning to be far more sporting taking the fish on with the 8'8" 4wt, both lined with Airflo Tactical lines.
So now onto the technical part, here's a video that outlines the entire process of putting the G2 together courtesy of John Duncan from Telluride Angler.
