Quentin Forster from Christchurch sent in this image of his revised version of our popular PT Klink pattern. As it turns out we have a similar version with rubber legs that we have released for this season. Here are the flies with a few fishing notes.
Rene's PT Klink has become apopular pattern around NZ. As a tip when you dress the fly with dry fly gel, just dress the hackle and not the tail that way the tail will sit nicely under the surface.
Here is Quentin Forsters version tied with rubber legs and a sparse deer hair wing. Awesome looking fly.
For 2012 we've released the Killer Klink which features rubber legs and a high vis post. This is a great searching pattern and in the laregr sizes is a great indicator pattern in a dry dropper rig.
