Friday Fly Day - Sporting Life's Neil Cunnington

She’s been a stunner of a summer so far in the north with some stunning fish being reported around the scene. With many anglers finally getting the chance to pick up a fly rod we asked our buddy Neil from Sporting life Turangi what they should be tying on around the central rivers.

“What I've been using a lot of lately has been a Hi-Viz PMX dry / indicator with either a BTB H&C #14 or BH Pheasant Tail #14 dropper. There are a few cicada chirping and there have been a few rainbows rising to them but it's been a tad slow for me but it should get better in the coming weeks, so keep a few patterns handy”.
