Friday Fly Day - Bloody Hooligans & Foaming Beetles
So here's a fly we've been eagerly waiting for over the last few weeks, the Hooligan.
Available in a gang of four different colours and in sizes 12 or 16 these fellas are strictly business when it comes to getting down quick. The double tungsten beads, epoxy body and super slim profile ensures they rip through the water column at light speed, on their way to harrass the trout that thought they were in "ungettable" positions.
This roving pack of badasses have a territory that stretches the country, so while the 12's might be perfect for throwing around the central plateau the 16's will be equally as home on the south islands freestone rivers.
We're also pleased to have the new Manic Foam Beetles that are looking for new homes.
These more sedate and likeable guys come in green and brown, both size 12 & 16. With a super bouyant foam body and rubber legs helping give them some profile these should ride high, dry and right down a trouts gob hopefully. The subtle white post will help with spotting them on the water and casting them should be a breeze.
Next week we'll touch on some Aussie specials that will have trans-tasman appeal.
