Andrew Harding - Cold August Chrome
"A very cold and extremely windy weekend just gone fishing the North Island's Tongariro River, New Zealand. Despite the fantastic conditions… colour in the water, cloud cover, and a wind-ruffled surface… the fishing was very tough through the middle and upper reaches. Down lower, far better catches were reported, but to my mind, I’ll take less fish, NO anglers and better scenery any day!
Was a great test for my new Scott 9’6” 6wt rod, such a pleasure to use. Fish size seemed to be down a bit on last year, but some nice conditioned fish none-the-less."
