The very popular SFFNZ Pairs Championships is back for 2020 and is a great event to get involved with if you've ever been at all interested in competition fly fishing.
The pairs has been the gateway event for many a successful competition angler as it's based more on fun and sharing the sport with newcomers. Each boat is made up of a team of two anglers, one pro angler (being a national representative) and one amateur angler so if this is one of your first events you'll get to see how it's done by those in the know.
For non-members, the $195 entry fee also gets you accommodation, dinner and a years membership to SFFNZ...that's amazing value for money, especially given what you're likely to learn on the water from your partner over the weekend.
The weekend also serves as the SFFNZ annual general meeting as well as the prizegiving so it's going to be a huge weekend with a great crew of very, very fishy people. Lock in the weekend of the 7th & 8th of November, it's lining up to be a good one.
