Techy Thursday - Matt Tripet talks Simms Chest Packs

A number of years ago I put aside the fly vest for the Waypoints Chest Pack. As an angler who fishes in any weather scenario, I was getting too hot and my gear in my vest was getting too wet in the rain, snow and deep river wades. The Waypoints pack has a harness system that goes over your back and shoulders for a comfortable carry and sits nicely beneath your pack straps, but it’s something I haven't actually used a great deal. This is because the Waypoints Chest Pack has magnetic ferrules that lock into my Simms G4 Pro Backpack. As a guide, I'm carrying food, extra water, an emergency shelter, comms gear, first aid, spare gear... and the list goes on. Being able to link these awesome products together makes my job so much easier.

The Waypoints Chest Pack carries two medium size fly boxes, and all the other extras we need like leader, tippet and floatants. And when it opens, its rigid construction makes a great little work space off your chest. It’s an awesome product by Simms who seriously think about developing the best technical apparel in the industry.
