Team Tuesday - Manic's Labour Weekend Hit Out

Gus, Cam, Matt and myself took advantage of the long weekend by getting in the car and driving a few hours south and stretching the legs for a bit of a back country wander. The weather forecast showed a couple of fronts coming through but we rolled the dice in hope of the more positive outcome of what was a 50/50 call. What eventuated was just that, one day of nice weather followed by some drizzle and light rain and time spent in tents waiting for it to clear. We made a safety first call to get out a day early just in case the tribs came up too much but before we bailed we had plenty of stunning early season back country fishing with hungry fish smashing big streamers, stimi dries and buggy nymphs. The new Airflo Ambush #4 glass rod got a bit of a run and what a great stick is it! A pleasure to cast and handled a few feisty bows up to 4lbs very well, definitely one to carry around for a bit of fun. Silly shirt day was introduced with Cam taking the cake in his asian inspired short sleeved number. Here's a few photos courtesy of Gus and a short clip of the small amount of footage we were able to get.
