Sunday Share - Matt Tripet's Muster Recap

By Gus Lapin 03/18/2018

The Forster Fly Muster was huge success last weekend. We got the rundown from our good mate Matt Tripet.

"The Forster Fly Muster is the brainchild of a guy with surf bleached blonde hair and a vocabulary summed up with phrases like ‘stoked’ and ‘frothing.’ He is a #manicmate and a guy with a genuine passion for people, life and fly fishing – Bretto Wilson.

The Muster was a zero B-S, or ego entertained fly fishing event enjoyed by 87 participants. It’s all about sharing the fly fishing love, helpful hints casting, tying flies and getting on the water with new friends targeting ‘bread-n-butter’ species like Bream, Whiting and Flathead with fly.

I would personally describe the Muster as a breath of fresh air. It is a humble event, but doing extraordinary things in our industry. People coming together united by a passion for throwing loops. The good, the bad and the ugly… it is an event that truly celebrates everything that is awesome about our sport!

I would like to publically recognise and thank everyone who attended the Muster, raising a massive $3,300.00 for The Fly Programs community programs. We are truly lost for words!

Next year the Muster will no doubt bust the tonne with participants.

We'll see you on the 15th – 16th March, 2019!"
