Review Scott Meridian 907/4 Micah Adams

We really wanted to get the new Meridians tested on south coast Australian in store species. From our view their has been some incredible advancement in conventional tackle developed for chasing these species but very little developed in fly tackle. We figured there was no better tester than Micah Adams from Adventure Angler TV.

Scotts latest saltwater series the Meridian is one sweet rod. After discussing the concept with chief designer and ceo- Jim Bartchi, the result is a rod with serious street cred! The prototype I’ve been fishing is the 9’ 7# and it seems to be the perfect upgrade from the fantastic S4s range by combining plenty of power and smoothness with the Radian like features of lightness and a wickedly smooth tip and mid section. If you want perfect loops in a saltwater rod this is it! For me, the rod makes the perfect bream and bonefish rod because it is a casting demon over distance yet the soft tip allows me to control a perfect loop better than ever. Also I've found the thinner wall of the Scott fly rods relates to far more feel through the blank and ultimately more fish hooked. I find this critical when fishing for picky winter bream. In summary the best just got better.
