Airflo Fly Lines, Polyleaders

For some it’s a four hour hike to reach a favourite high country steam, for others its wading a secret bonefish flat searching for a single tailing fish at sunset – whatever your preference we know that for every day we spend on the water, a brighter day is added to each of our lives.

How do we know this? Well just like you, we are passionate about fly fishing - some would say to the point of obsession – that is why we have made it our sole purpose to ensure that every flyline we manufacture is designed to make the most of your time
‘out there’.

Sound scientific principles have given us Ridge Technology, Total Density Compensation and Power Core, each development taking flyline technology to new levels.

This is no accident, far from it, rather the result of many lifetimes on the water embraced into a Polymer of the future and not a plastic from the past.

So next time you're ‘out there’, rest assured that we have been ‘out there’ too.

Airflo Total Density Compensation Airflo Total Density Compensation sinking lines

As originators of Density Compensation in Sinking lines, TDC – Total Density Compensation – raises the bar on density control regardless of line type.

Controlling the volume and density of each coating, our dual layer PolyFuse XT process creates technically advanced lines with pinpoint accuracy.

For true high buoyancy floaters or sinking lines with sink rates you can rely on, look out for the TDC logo.

The concept is simplicity itself - it’s unique ridged design reduces the surface area in contact with the rod guides, consequently friction levels are vastly improved compared to any regular round flyline. Incredibly tough for long term durability.

Regular line has up to 200% greater contact with rod ring Reduced surface area for minimal friction
Airflo Power Core Airflo No stretch fly line core

With only 6% stretch, our Power Core braid improves casting control, sensitivity and hook set – pretty impressive stuff.

However, you’ll be more impressed with the lines incredible suppleness and handling performance even in the
harshest of conditions.

micro loop airflo welded loop

The ability to fuse Polyurethane post production led to the development of Micro Loops.

Showing no visible signs of a step down, Micro loops blend into the main line giving smooth transition to your leader and seal your flyline from the effects of capillary action.

Not relying on solvents to make it supple, Polyurethane flexes better and lasts longer than any other material we know.
Our new Flexi Loop system incorporates actual flyline core into the loop and with our unique fusing process, creates a seamless weld that really is bullet proof.

100% PVC Free Fly lines Enviromentally friendly Polyurethane

All Airflo fly lines are manufactured from Polyurethane - a thermoplastic polymer - ensuring incredible durability and a high resistance to cracking.

Without using solvents in manufacture, our lines have superior resistance to the harmful effects of UV, are unaffected by DEET and will perform long after our competitors lines have wilted.

What’s more, our endless research into Polymer technology will ensure that we continue to lead the way in plastics development solely for use in flyline manufacture.
