Airflo Airlite High Performance Fly Rods

The New Airflo Airlite Rods have been designed here in New Zealand to suit the requirements of kiwi anglers. The rods are built on ultra light high performance blanks; using a high density lay up process our rod factory has been able to create a blank that offers incredible strength to weight ratio. The rods feature a tip action which generates tight loops and incredible line speed. This rod is perfectly matched with any of the ridge supple fly lines, Ego, Explorer or Tactical.

What Fly Line Should I use on this Rod?

The Airlite rods have the power and can handle heavy sinking lines, so feel at ease to throw on any of the Airflo Sixth Sense, Depthfinder or 40+ sinking lines. These rods are extremely versitile, therefore for presentation work with small nymphs and dry flies, we would run the Ridge Tactical, for casting heavier nymphs or terrestrial patterns we would switch to the Ridge Explorer and then if you're an advanced caster and you want to be able to handle long casts on big rivers and lakes then the Ridge Ego will be the line for you.
