Ridge Rangefinder Taper

Designed by distance casting guru Tim Rajeff as the ultimate distance fly line. In simple terms this is a long belly fly line, in real terms it's a lot more than that. Here's what we've done. Normally on a long belly fly line the front taper is short, however what Tim has taught us is that by extending the front taper the line will take longer to unravel and thus have a longer flight time. When it comes to the rear taper we took what we learnt from our explorer (our original MPT Taper) and extended out the rear taper to extend the effective length of the belly and improve energy transfer into the belly - what all that means is the line wont kick around once you start extending long casts.

Added to this cool taper is Airflo's ability to control coatings throughout the whole fly line. In this case what was opted for was a nice supple head, so you can make those nice tight loops which cut through the wind and then a stiffer running line so the puppy shoots like crazy. Put all of this together with Airflo's exclusive Ridge coating and a non stretch core and you get a smoking hot distance line.
