The Ridge Explorer II is a custom New Zealand taper designed specifically to handle bulky flies, strong wind and long leaders. The Explorer is the quintessential back country fly line for New Zealand. The line has a powerful front taper that bowls over heavy nymphs and indicators with ease. The camo olive colour is perfect for targeting spooky fish in clear water. Another area where we've found these useful has been for casting wind resistant cicada flies.
